What some folks have said…

“After a three year medical leave getting back to full time production with my film company seemed daunting. Sue immediately saw a clear way to join the art I had been making as part of my recovery and my work to my film company. We started to illuminate a path back to a thriving production company. We are at the beginning of our journey together and I am very excited to to see the new chapter of my storytelling career with Sue Edworthy onboard.”

Sue recently handled the marketing for our show AWAKE in this year’s Fringe Festival of Toronto. We really needed her genius, creativity and expertise to help us stand out in a festival of 155 shows. And Sue delivered! Thanks to her hard work, the show was previewed in almost every publication and the show went on to be the second largest grossing show in the Fringe. The unique marketing collateral she created for Awake were some of the most talked about at the Fringe – AWAKE has made great highly effective hand fans available in their Walmer Church Sanctuary venue. Best part, you can take them with you.” – Mooney on Theatre. Sue went above and beyond the call duty. I look forward to working with her again on our next project!

Sue helped us to promote a fundraising concert that took place during Luminato and the Stratford and Shaw festival opening weeks.  It was not an easy task but she managed to move mountains and get a ton of exposure for Theatre 20.   She has established relationships with important media contacts in Toronto and, in many cases, was able to open new doors for us.  We felt that her efforts really had a positive impact on ticket sales.  She also gave detailed feedback when it was requested and was a pleasure to work with.

Sue is a multi-faceted marketing genius who provided three exemplary services: she facilitated an intense day of brainstorming regarding needs and strategies with our Vision Committee, shared her fascinating career narrative with to Arts and Careers students, and led a number of fund-raising workshops in “how to make the ask” for our Entrepreneurship class. I worked with Sue as part of a collaborative team at Artscape, to produce CP+S (an arts, science, and cities conference) the theme of which was “The Collaborative City”. Sue’s particular expertise on this team involved writing and social media. I found her to be highly motivated, creative and proficient in both roles, and she was able to deliver even under tight deadlines and budgets.

Sue and I have a long working history together in Toronto’s performing arts scene and both share a vision for building healthy and creative cities. As a fellow member of the Board of Directors at the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts, we worked together to coordinate such initiatives as Backstage Toronto and the Toronto Independent Theatre and Dance Trade Forum. Sue’s immense marketing knowledge and promotions savvy were key contributors to the success of these programs, I could always count on her to go above and beyond and continue to be inspired by her enthusiasm and love for the performing arts and city building. She is an innovative, dynamic and visionary thinker and remains on the cutting edge of many marketing trends.

Sue was an energetic and creative contributor to ArtsVote, ensuring a vital and effective social media profile for our work. She was immediately on top of every opportunity to expand our network and broadcast our message – we owe a great deal of our success to her. And she was a total pleasure to work with!
