Now we translate meaning into choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Choose 3 Brand Words<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Pick three words you want people to associate with your work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not buzzwords.<br>Not things every artist says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Words that help you decide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>what fits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>what doesn\u2019t<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>what feels off<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>intimate \/ sharp \/ funny<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>playful \/ graphic \/ bold<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tender \/ eerie \/ nostalgic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These words become your gut-check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6: Build a Visual World (Calmly)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You do not need a full rebrand. You need recognizability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1\u20132 fonts (max)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a small colour palette (3\u20135 colours is plenty)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a consistent style of imagery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a predictable way of presenting your work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Perfect is not the goal.<br>Familiar is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7: Lock in Your Voice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Your voice is how people recognize you before they see your name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>warm or direct?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>poetic or plainspoken?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>teacher, inviter, provocateur, observer?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Then \u2014 and this is key \u2014 <strong>keep it<\/strong>.<br>Don\u2019t sound like a different person on every platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 8: Make a Tiny Brand Kit<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be a one-page doc. Truly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your one-sentence explanation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your 3 brand words<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>colours and fonts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u20133 example images<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a few phrases you often use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is how you stop second-guessing yourself when you\u2019re tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 9: Pressure-Test It<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Branding only works if it works in real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>does your website match your socials?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>does your bio match your captions?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>can someone understand what you do in 10 seconds?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If not, tweak.
